What the warranty really covers
The implant itself (loss of osseointegration), the crown (fracture, loosening within the warranty period), and the prosthesis (unseating, non-traumatic fracture). Replacement includes part AND labor — that's the point to check.
What it doesn't cover
Trauma (impact, accident), untreated periodontal disease (missed check-ups), untreated bruxism, undeclared tobacco use, and missed follow-up appointments. These exclusions are universal — France as well as Tunisia.
Duration by procedure type
Implants: lifetime warranty on premium brands (Straumann, Nobel), 10 years on others (MIS, Neodent). Ceramic crowns: 5 years. Veneers: 5 years. Removable prostheses: 2 years. Each warranty is named and attached to your implant passport.
How to activate the warranty
Photo, X-ray, description sent to your coordinator. The clinic committee decides within 72 hours: either remote treatment (partner dentist, paid by clinic), or return to Tunisia under warranty with refunded flight on receipts.
A common trap: 'verbal warranties'
A warranty not written, signed and handed to you doesn't exist legally. Always demand a signed warranty document at the end of your stay, listing implant and crown references — it's your only real protection.
A serious warranty is written, named, with listed exclusions and clear procedure. Refuse anything vague: Tunisia Smile hands over the signed document at the end of every stay, without exception.
